The Upward Spiral

A spiral is a three-dimensional curve that turns around a fixed centre point, continuously increasing or decreasing.

In an upward spiral we constantly ascend to new heights, renewing our resources at certain points in time to find balance and a renewed sense of energy which carries us into the next stage.

In a downward spiral hope is lost as negativity attracts more negativity which in turn affecst how we do things and how we see things.

The upward spiral is clearly the place to be but moving up it is not always what we actually need. When things aren’t happening in the way our high expectations demand, we shouldn’t assume we’re on the downward spiral. This is becoming far easier to do when we expect instantaneous results from the modern world of connection and the internet. Instead, show up and appreciate that at moment you wish you can choose to stay at a fixed point, perhaps even move backwards and still remain on the very same spiral.
