Relieving Tension

Disclaimer: this post wasn’t inspired by Bill Bailey and his little book of calm but I am a fan.

Too much tension or mental and emotional strain can lead to stress, anxiety and pressure.

Relieving is not always an easy feat as we may be feeling stressed without actually being consciously aware of it so it’s important to check in with yourself every now and then. Make the time for it, especially when you have less things going on.

Notice any emotions that are causing any anxiety.

Acknowledge their presence then let them go.

By being proactive in combating the stress you’re saying to yourself, ‘I deserve to be relaxed and free in mind, body & spirit.’

It starts with the mind.

Thoughts lead to states of being over time.

Ask yourself, what would you ideal state of being look and feel life?

Start to imagine it or visualize it.

Then.

Meditate & eradicate distractions.

Perhaps as part of a morning or evening routine.

Focus on being calm as you meditate.

Listen to some music you enjoy or that relaxes you.

And practise regularly.
