Great Expectations

When we lower our expectations, it’s another way of saying I don’t think that will/can happen.

Of course there’s no guarantee that anything will happen if you raise your expectations. In fact they can be damaging when we don’t do anything to align our actions with them.

But you can’t win chess by playing checkers.

When we raise expectations what we are saying to ourself is ‘I have faith’. Whether that’s faith in ourselves to succeed or for the ones we love it’s a powerful catalyst for moving closer towards what we really want to create for our lives.
